OBITUARY
Jack Clark Parker, 86, died on January 6, 2020 in Carrollton, Texas of a stroke. He was born April 1, 1933, in Freeport, Texas, son of J.G. and Ruth Clark Parker, and he grew up there.

Jack received his Ph.D. in 1971 from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He was a pioneering Marine Biologist whose career work was in shrimp mariculture. Jack was also an avid wildlife hunter.

Jack loved music and played in both junior high and high school bands. Years later, he and his wife retired and moved to Dallas where he renewed his interest in the clarinet by joining the New Horizons Band Dallas. He played in the Concert Band for many years.

He was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Parker Adkins and by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Ross Parker, their daughter Lisa Parker Mosman and son-in-law Richard Mosman of North Dallas, granddaughter Marin Mosman of Austin, Texas, and sister Joan Parker Sheard of Spokane, Washington.

Jack Parker's cremains will be placed at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at Mountain Lake, Texas.
