Personal Music History
I began playing wind instruments in Wellsboro, PA for orchestra, concert and marching bands from 4th through 12th grades. I was among the first women to be admitted to the Penn State Marching Blue Band, and I performed with the Penn State Concert Band for four years. From 1993-2013, I was a member of the Falls Church, VA Concert Band. I started out on clarinet and oboe in grade school, switched to alto sax after college, and in 2007 changed to trumpet, my Mother's horn. During summers I play in several community bands in Cape May County, NJ, including the John Walter Cape Community Band, Congress Street Brass Band, and Lower Township Summer Band.

After moving to Dallas in October 2013, I joined the Town North Concert Band, which introduced me to the New Horizons Band. I am glad to be part of the New Horizons Band because I am excited about the music selection, director, members, and opportunity to grow musically and meet new friends.
