• Started Clarinet in 4th grade and played through high school (Jamestown, NY).
• We won the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC and received highest ratings up to 1971 in both concert and marching ever given.
• This happened my junior year and as a result our band and orchestra were invited to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA for a concert and cut an album my senior year).
• After high school, I taught beginning clarinet students for 5 years and played for personal reasons thereafter.
• Got married, coached high school varsity softball and had two children; clarinet laid idle until my daughter wanted to play it in middle school – my son preferred the saxophone!


• It wasn’t until 2004 when I dusted off the clarinet, had it repadded and corked and began to play in my parish orchestra at St. Stephen Catholic Community in Winter Springs, FL.
• A year later in the Maitland (FL) Symphony Orchestra.
• I moved to McKinney in Decemeber 2017 and I soon joined the Frisco Community Band and NHBD, and most recently the newly formed St. Gabriel Catholic Community orchestra.
• I am happy to be playing in both bands and orchestra!


• I am a 45+yr educator – taught 1st grade for 15 years (NY & FL).
• Served at the district level in FL in elementary education and was a change management consultant on a state Dept of Ed initiative called Florida School Year 2000
• Once that was unfunded by the state legislature, I went to Florida State University and earned my PhD in 2001 in educational research, specializing in instructional design and distance education.
• I worked for Computer Sciences Corporation, a large defense contractor, was named a Fellow, Class of 2010 representing the CSC Training Center of Excellence.
• I worked in primarily government and military contracts.
• Taught at several universities as full time professor and dissertation chair and/or as a an adjunct professor, including Florida State U, U of Central Florida, George Washington U, Purdue U, Flagler College, Northcentral U, and Nova Southeastern U.
• I retired in 2018 from full time responsibilities.
• *Currently I remain a part/time dissertation chair and professor with Nova Southeastern U in Miami FL.


• I was married for 22 years.
• I have two children.
• My daughter and son-in- law live in Prosper TX and my reason for moving to McKinney.
• They made me a “Nonna” with two granddaughters – 2 yr old Luciana and 1 month old Isabella!
• I have a son who works at the University of Pittsburgh.
• My three older brothers and their wives remain in Florida and my reason for traveling back and forth to Central Fl.
• We are originally from Western NY – south of Buffalo (Jamestown, NY – home of Lucille Ball).

• Arts & crafts and DIY projects
• Spending time with my family!


• I bowled a 259 in a single game!
• I was held up in Chautauqua Lake by the Chautauqua County District Attorney
• I have several autographed pictures and albums from my two favorite singers – Al Martino and Connie Francis.
