PERSONAL MUSIC HISTORY

1961 graduate of A.C. Jones High School, Beeville, TX: I played Baritone Horn and was in both District and Region Bands.
Served as the HS Band President and directed the HS German Band my senior year.
1961 Texas All-State Choir - Bass II
Graduated from Baylor University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Church Music and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1969 with a Masters of Church Music
Served in Texas Baptist churches as both part-time and full-time Minister of Music & Worship; Youth Minister; Children's Minister ; and College Minister for over 18 years
Traveled on Mission to Japan, Mexico, and Ukraine
Volunteer Music Minister at First Baptist Church of Houston from 1977-1991 directing worship, soloing, organizing choir and directing Spirit Song (Single Young Adult Ensemble) and the Men's Chorus

*Member of New Horizons Band Dallas since 2012
*Artistic Director for The Dallas Low Brass Choir (NHBD): Baritone player; composer; and arranger of music for this unique brass emsemble of Baritones, Euphoniums, and Tuba
*Soloist and Narrator with the New Horizons Band Dallas
*Bass Singer and Tuba player with The Singing Men of North Central Texas
*Member of Grace Bible Church Dallas where I sing in the Worship Choir and direct the Grace Brass Quintet

Served in Texas Baptist churches as both part-time and full-time Minister of Music & Worship; Youth Minister; Children's Minister ; and College Minister for over 18 years
Rancher, Surveyor, Piano and Organ Salesman, Salesman for Xerox Corp., Personnel Placement with M. David Lowe of Houston; Salesman for A. B. Dick Printing Presses; and an associate to a Private Investigator
CLASSROOM MUSIC TEACHER for 20 Years: Certified Texas All-Levels Music Teacher in High School, Middle School, and Elementary School for 11 years in Houston Area School Districts and 9 years in Dallas ISD
Began The Great American Sing-Out in 2006-2007 by teaching all of my Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade Students at Kramer Elementary (DALLAS ISD) to memorize and perform 17 songs celebrating America!
Retired from Music Teaching in June 2011
*Joined New Horizons Band Dallas in 2012
